Who You Are:
- You have an expert-level grasp of classic debits and credits with a natural ability to spot and rectify bookkeeping errors
- You have demonstrated experience in structuring complex financials across multiple departments.
- You have the ability to bridge the gap between daily transactional accounting and high-level strategic reporting, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
Job Responsibilities:
Full-Charge Bookkeeping & Ledger Integrity:- Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring a rock-solid foundation of debits and credits.
- Proactively audit the ledger to identify, investigate, and correct mis posted transactions.
- Utilize advanced “Class” and “Location” tracking in QuickBooks to manage complex cost allocations and generate precise departmental Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
- Prepare and deliver streamlined, accurate weekly cash flow updates, monthly financial packages, and key operational metrics to the leadership team.
- Serve as the primary interface for external auditors, preparing comprehensive audit schedules, workpapers, and reconciliations to ensure a smooth, efficient annual review.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows across multiple locations, leveraging tools like Bill.com to maintain strict approval hierarchies and controls.
- Continuously improve accounting workflows leveraging Microsoft 365 tools and implementing AI-enabled approaches to automate routine tasks, data extraction, and reconciliations.

Position Requirements:
- Active CPA designation (US or Canada) required
- Familiarity with AP/AR automation platforms such as Bill.com or similar multi-tiered approval software preferred.
- Practical knowledge or a strong interest in AI-enabled accounting tools and automation frameworks to drive efficiency preferred.
- Experience managing accounting for multi-entity or multi-location businesses.
- Deep hands-on experience with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Mastery of double-entry accounting, revenue recognition, and GAAP/IFRS principles. Proven ability to clean up messy books and establish rigorous controls.
- Exceptional Excel skills (lookups, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling) and seamless navigation of the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Strong diagnostic skills, you don’t just look at the numbers; you notice when a pattern is off and know how to fix it.
